INTERNATIONAL
DELIVERY DISCLAIMER
1. DELIVERY
TIMES
While we provide
guidelines for how long delivery takes
to destinations outside of Australia, WE CANNOT AND DO NOT GUARANTEE
DELIVERY TIMES. So if you are purchasing products for birthdays
or anniversaries we strongly recommend you read our delivery
time guidelines and the information on this page carefully.
PLEASE REMEMBER
that delivery times can be affected greatly if your package is held
back by customs officers (delays are explained in delivery
guidelines).
While the chance
of your package being inspected and delayed by customs is minimal,
we must inform you that the possibility does exist. The nature of
international post makes it impossible for any business to guarantee
fast delivery times.
2. GIFT
WRAP
While we have
been sending gift-wrapped packages all over the world since 2001,
we would like to inform you of another drawback if your package
is inspected by custom officials (especially in Canada).
If custom officers
open your package, they take very little care in re-wrapping gift
items to the standard they were at when dispatched. (This is the
reason we send gift boxes when sending hampers instead of gift-wrap),
and do not offer the gift wrap option for some food items.
So while we
can say that 99.9% of gift wrapped packages reach their recipients
un-opened by custom officials, we would like to assure you that
if you choose not to purchase the gift wrap option - your gift will
still reach it's destination in perfect presentation. We package
all products professionally, so you may want to consider the option
of only sending a greeting card with your gift.
3. COMMERCIAL DUTIES
Please remember
that as long as you are using the products for personal use, you
are not required to pay commercial duties. If you are purchasing
products for the purpose of re-selling them you are required to
pay commercial duties to the country you are in.
If you purchase
20 jars of vegemite for personal use and your order is held back
by customs, you may find yourself in the position of convincing
the custom officer that you are not re-selling the items - It is
at the discretion of the officer whather he believes you or not.
Since we started
operations in 2000, we have only ever had one case of custom officials
trying to charge a customer extra commercial duties on the products
he ordered. This was in Germany.
4. RE-SENDING ITEMS
Please make
sure you enter the correct address when ordering a product for someone
else. Because of the high costs involved with international delivery,
we cannot re-send products without additional charges, if packages
were returned because an incorrect address was given.
Likewise, if
a package is returned to Australia because it was left unclaimed
at a post office, we cannot re-ship without additional charges.
